Agreement to these terms
These terms govern your use of SusuWallet. By creating an account or joining a circle, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service
SusuWallet is a trust layer for savings circles: susu, sou-sou, tanda, partner, ajo, and similar rotating savings traditions. We provide a signed agreement for each circle, a shared payment ledger with two-sided confirmation, rotation tracking, and a portable trust score with vouches. SusuWallet is not a payments company or a bank, and we never hold, move, or have access to member funds. Payments happen directly between circle members, by whatever method they choose.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement to use SusuWallet. By using the service, you confirm that this is true.
Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Circles and signed agreements
Every circle starts with a set of terms, agreed by all members: the amount, the schedule, the rotation order, and how the circle handles a missed payment. Each member e-signs this agreement before the first hand is paid. It's a real agreement between the members of your circle, and SusuWallet is not a party to it. We provide the tool that records it and, if needed, lets your circle export it as evidence.
Payments happen directly between members
All payments in a circle move directly between members, by whatever method they choose, such as Zelle, Cash App, cash, or a bank transfer. SusuWallet never holds, pools, routes, or has custody of these payments. When a payment is made, the paying member marks it paid and the receiving member confirms it; both records are timestamped on the shared ledger. SusuWallet is not responsible for a member's decision to pay, or failure to pay, another member. Our role is to keep the record, not to guarantee the outcome.
Trust score and vouches
We calculate a trust score for each member from confirmed payments and completed circles, and display vouches from members you've completed a circle with. This score reflects circle activity only, and we make no guarantee about a member's willingness or ability to pay in the future. Deciding who to circle with is your decision.
Prohibited conduct
You agree not to provide false information, impersonate another person, circumvent identity verification, harass other members, or use SusuWallet for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimers
SusuWallet is a savings tool, not an investment product. You never receive more than what you and your circle put in, and nothing here should be treated as financial advice. The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SusuWallet is not liable for losses arising from another member's failure to pay, from payments made outside the app, or from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can stop using SusuWallet at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Your circle's signed agreements and ledger records remain available to other members as evidence, even after your account is closed.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which SusuWallet is organized, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute between you and SusuWallet will be handled in the courts located in that state, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Disputes between circle members are between those members; SusuWallet can provide the signed agreement and ledger as a record, including for small claims court.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify active members before the changes take effect. Continuing to use SusuWallet after that point means you accept the updated terms.
